The seashells were picked up at the local $2.00 shop. (Not the beach.) A bag of seashells for $2. I made the plate myself. The glaze turned out very dodgy. It was much paler than it was supposed to be and very uneven. But the washy quality works very nicely with the shells. Photographed with light coming in the from the left from a north-facing window. A white reflector was used on the left to block the directional light, avoid hot spots on the plate and reduce shadows. This really flattened the light. But they're more about colour than light.
